The relationship between Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson (aka “Kete”) seems to be going from strength to strength. And now, Kardashian, 41, has revealed when she started talking to her now-boyfriend Davidson, 28, and it wasn’t at Saturday Night Live.
Speaking on her new reality series The Kardashians, the mother-of-four revealed that she and Davidson actually caught up at the Met Gala last September, a month before her SNL hosting appearance which, of course, sparked her romance with the Staten Island-bred comedian. “I ran into Pete Davidson at the Met,” Kardashian revealed on The Kardashians.
“And I was like, ‘I am so scared (to host SNL). I don’t know what I signed up for.’ And he’s like, ‘Can you read cue cards? You’re good. You’re good.’” Yes, Pete – she’s good. Kardashian and Davidson went on to share a slightly awkward on-screen kiss during a SNL sketch in which she starred as Princess Jasmine to Davidson’s Aladdin. The pair are believed to have met for the first time in 2019, when both attended rapper Kid Cudi’s birthday party, while Kardashian was still with her estranged husband, Kanye West.
Meantime, the SKIMS mogul has shared new photos (and major PDA) of her and Davidson looking very cosy in a booth at Los Angeles pizza restaurant, Jon & Vinny’s. Wearing a plunging custom Mugler dress, Kardashian captioned the Instagram post, “late nite snack”. The photos were taken on the same night as Davidson attended the Hollywood premiere of The Kardashians.
And while “Kete” are becoming more visible publicly, don’t expect Kardashian to be over-sharing about the relationship. Speaking on the podcast Making Space, Kardashian said she was holding it “close to my heart”. “I do think that I am holding, you know, a little bit more close to my heart on certain aspects of my relationship with Pete,” she said.
“(It) feels good just to know that, like, we have this connection and we have our little bubble of a relationship world that we live in that, like, not a lot of people know about,” Kardashian continued. She also revealed that dating after the dramatic end of her six-year marriage to West was “the last thing that I was really planning on”. “I definitely took my time. I took, you know, 10 months or something before I dated or talked to anyone,” Kardashian said. “So once I went through all of the motions, I finally was, like, ‘OK, guys, I am so ready to meet someone.’ And I randomly did.”
