Since the inception of selfies, celebrities have been blessing us with iconic behind-the-scenes moments from otherwise exclusive events, sometimes with so much star power that their blurry IG photo is the most talked about part of the night. The most obvious example is, of course, the 2014 Academy Awards, when host Ellen DeGeneres took the now-iconic “Oscars selfie” with a slew of A-listers packed into the shot, including Bradley Cooper, Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Lupita Nyong’o.
Fast-forward to today and both DeGeneres and the Oscars are less relevant than they were back in 2014 – Pitt too, if you’re really getting specific – but thankfully, we have the queen of selfies, Kim Kardashian, who somehow gets more relevant by the minute, to add another history-making selfie to the books.
In photos uploaded to her Instagram account, the SKIMS founder is seen at an intimate dinner party posing with the guests she’s seated beside, who happen to be none other than Oprah Winfrey and Jennifer Lopez.
At a 25th anniversary party for Anastasia Soare’s brand in Los Angeles, the three women are all smiles as they take photos together at the event, which was also attended by Sharon Stone, Heidi Klum, Priyanka Chopra, Cindy Crawford, Gayle King and Kardashian’s mum, Kris Jenner.
Lopez wore a Valentino white and gold embroidered tulle mini dress and platform Tan-Go heels with Kardashian opting for a brown strapless dress with a gold cross pendant necklace, pulling her hair back into a sleek ponytail. Winfrey, who celebrated her 69th birthday over the weekend, wore a brown tailored suit with sparkling sequins and a white T-shirt underneath.
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be? The right answer: Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey and Jennifer Lopez, of course.
