Stallions and supermodels have united to bring us a spectacular campaign for the launch of Stella McCartney‘s Fall/Winter 2023 collection entitled ‘Horse Power’.

Known for her lifelong love of horses, model Kendall Jenner has joined forces with the luxury fashion house for the very first time to bring the new collection to life.

Shot on location in the Camargue Salt Flats of France by photographer Harley Weir, the campaign showcases Kendall surrounded by a herd of white horses, native to the region.

Stella herself is an avid horse lover, hence the inspiration for the latest collection for her eponymous label. Horse Power explores the transformational relationship between humans and horses, something that the creative director was keen to showcase in the FW23 collection.

Given both Stella and Kendall have had a lifelong love for horses, the designer couldn’t think of anyone better than the 27-year-old model to star in the campaign.

“I knew this season’s Stella girl had to love horses as much as I do,” she said. “Kendall has been riding since she was a kid, just like me, and has her own ranch; you can see how at ease she is around these sensitive creatures, and them with her.

“Capturing this connection brings Horse Power to life, both through the fashion and the vision.”

In the campaign, Kendall appears in a series of key pieces from Stella McCartney’s FW23 collection, all of which were presented at Paris Fashion Week in March at the Manège de L’École Militaire. The surprise act during the show was seven white stallions provided by horse whisperer and rescuer Jean-Francois Pignon, which also star in the new campaign with Kendall.

In various shots and footage from the campaign, Kendall is seen interacting with the horses, including modelling from head to toe in a red dress one stallion leaps into the air.

Not only does the collection outline the connection between humans and animals, Stella McCartney continues to highlight cruelty-free and sustainable fashion.

In fact, it’s the most sustainable winter collection for Stella McCartney to date, having been crafted from 92 per cent conscious materials.

The collection will be available in stores and online from August 2023.
