The only thing louder than a bunch of screaming Katy Perry fans? The costumes the pop sensation has been wearing to kick off her Play residency in Las Vegas.
The Roar singer performed the first show of her residency at the Resorts World Theatre, where she appeared on stage in multiple extravagant outfits, one of which was her New Year’s Eve ensemble by Lebanese label Azzi & Osta.
The Azzi & Osta coral two-piece set with mesh detailing is from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2022 ready-to-wear collection, which she wore to ring in 2022 as she hosted the New Year’s Eve Playland Party at Resorts World Las Vegas.
As always, the singer enlisted the sartorial vision of Johnny Wujek, her trusty costume designer that she has worked with for years, to style her for the occasion. Wujek regularly shared behind-the-scenes looks at Perry’s iconic outfits. When it comes to the business of being Katy Perry, maximalism always trumps subtlety.
Perry joins a long list of celebs who are fans of the Beirut-based brand; Eva Longoria, Cardi B, Beyonce and Megan Fox are just some of the many A-listers who have supported the Arab label.
George Azzi and Assaad Osta met at Esmod Beirut in 2004. In 2010, they joined forces and launched their eponymous atelier, which now comprises Haute Couture, ready-to-wear and bridal collections.
