Fun fact: Kate Hudson has been writing music since she was 19. Despite choosing a career in Hollywood – no doubt inspired by her famous parents Bill Hudson and Goldie Hawn – music has been a passion of the actress’. When the world went into lockdown in 2020 Hudson says she was inspired to write music, and subsequently is releasing an album!

Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon she revealed it would see a release in 2023. “I’ve been making a record for, like, a year,” Hudson told the host. “You know, I had this thing at COVID — every time you’re doing interviews, people are like, ‘Do you have any regrets?’ I go, ‘I’m early 40s. Like, not yet.’ But during COVID, I was like, you know, what am I doing?'”

She continued, “I actually write — I’ve been writing music since I was 19. And, like, I’ve never shared it. And so, I just thought, that would be one of my great regrets. Like, I have no expectations. I just want to put a record out, and so I’m doing it.”

Hudson was styled by Sophie Lopez for her latest appearance and wore a glittering Chrome Hearts Couture two-piece. The Raising Helen star is in a new icon era. It is not known how long the album will be, the genre, or if Hudson will even be singing.

The 43-year-old is also looking to the future in her personal life. In a recent interview with Byrdie she revealed that having more children might be on the horizon. “I’ve been having children my entire adult life,” Hudson told the publication. “I’ve got my 4-year-old and I’ve got a kid in college. And I don’t even know if I’m done yet. You know, I don’t have that answer yet.”

Hudson shares 18-year-old Ryder with Chris Robinson, 11-year-old Bingham with Matt Bellamy, and four-year-old Rani with fiancé, Danny Fujikawa.

Stay tuned for further developments.
