Like Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga or Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac, Julia Roberts and George Clooney are just an iconic on screen couple and they always leave us wanting more. Luckily for us the pair have reunited for a rare romantic comedy, Ticket to Paradise. For the first time since Cannes Film Festival in 2016, Roberts and Clooney posed on the red (green) carpet together at the world premiere in London.

Roberts wore a black Alexander McQueen gown with silver embellishments which was paired with a cropped tuxedo blazer. Clooney on the other hand was dressed in three-piece navy suit. Dapper as always.

The 61-year-old actor was also joined by his beautiful wife Amal Clooney who also walked the red carpet wearing a slinky mint green slip dress emblazoned with tiny silver beads. A glamorous update to the ’90s favourite. It is not known who the designer is but it’s very possible it’s an archival or vintage look.

Emily in Paris star Lucas Bravo also walked the red carpet for his film debut, as did the young actress Kaitlyn Dever.

This week Roberts and Clooney appeared in an interview for the New York Times where they discussed their first on-screen kiss for the forthcoming movie. It reportedly took “like six months” to get right according to the actor. “Yeah. I told my wife, ‘It took 80 takes,’” Clooney told the publication. “She was like, ‘What the hell?’””It took 79 takes of us laughing and then the one take of us kissing,” Roberts added. Clooney responded, “Well, we had to get it right.”

Ticket to Paradise is directed by Ol Parker, the brains behind Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again. It releases into Australian theatres from September 15. Oh Julia, we’ve missed you!
