It’s no secret that Julia Roberts and George Clooney are the best of friends, but would you go as far as to wear your bestie on a red carpet gown? Overnight the Pretty Woman actress did just that and stepped out at the Kennedy Centre Honours event at The White House in a custom Moschino gown by Jeremy Scott.

In tribute to her longtime famous friend the print featured portraits of Clooney from throughout his career and emblazoned onto the silhouette. The look was finished with a cropped tuxedo jacket and Chopard jewellery. Once she was inside the event, Roberts changed into a sleek navy suit.

“JULIA ROBERTS IN A CUSTOM MOSCHINO GOWN WITH A PRINT OF GEORGE CLOONEY’S HANDSOME MUG THROUGH OUT HIS ILLUSTRIOUS CARER SCATTERED ACROSS IT & A CROPPED TUX JACKET,” the designer wrote in a caption on Instagram. “STYLED BY @elizabethstewart1 FOR THE KENNEDY CENTER HONORS. SPEAKING OF HONORS THAT IS WHAT IT WAS TO WORK WITH THESE TWO GREATS TO BRING THIS IDEA TO LIFE ❣️ 🖼️ 👗.”

Clooney was in attendance and one of five honourees for the evening which celebrated contributions to the performing arts industry. He was accompanied by wife Amal Clooney who wore a glittering off-the-shoulder gown from Valentino.

Roberts and Clooney made their long-awaited return to the rom-com genre in September with Ticket to Paradise. Spoiler alert; within the film the on-screen couple share a kiss which they later admitted in an interview with the New York Times took “like six months” to get right.

“Yeah. I told my wife, ‘It took 80 takes,’” Clooney told the publication. “She was like, ‘What the hell?’””It took 79 takes of us laughing and then the one take of us kissing,” Roberts added. Clooney responded, “Well, we had to get it right.”

Now, where can we get a friendship like this? Preferably involving Moschino.
