Are you a Saudi national looking to pursue a career in media? Look no further. ITP Media Group (ITP) and NEOM Media Industries sector has announced they have expanded their existing partnership. Providing aspirational young Saudis with the most recent media training and internship possibilities.

The ITP x Neom Digital Media Programme initiative, which is now in its third year, has already provided access to many full-time jobs within the vibrant media industry. It is now open for applications.

WHAT DOES the graduate programme OFFER?

The New Media and Content Creation Graduate Programme, by ITP and NEOM, provides on-the-job training in digital journalism and editorial. The aim is to develop the varied abilities of recent Saudi graduates and give them access to rewarding work prospects.

A select group of 15 excellent students will have the opportunity to begin a 6-month paid internship with ITP Media Saudi at its headquarters in Riyadh. It will begin with a comprehensive four-week training session organised for November. The students will interact with distinguished regional media outlets, such as Time Out GCC, Harper’s Bazaar Saudi, Cosmopolitan Middle East, Arabian Business and Esquire Middle East.

Students who exhibit exceptional abilities throughout the course of their internship will be offered full-time roles in Riyadh or throughout the network of ITP offices in 3 continents. The course will be taught by international instructors and local media specialists. Giving an emphasis on training students on the significant skills required by today’s fast-paced media sector.

The programme will cover topics including new media, podcasting, communications in the digital era, ethics of journalism and effective storytelling.

The criteria for the programme is as follows:

  • Applicant must be a Saudi national
  • Applicant must be between 20 to 30 years old
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in media, journalism, communications, marketing, PR or related
  • Current CV (mandatory) and any relevant portfolio or samples of work (optional)
  • Able to write clear, concise, objective and accurate materials
  • Supply short text as set in selection process
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Availability to participate in interviews and other selection processes if selected, including a face-to-face assessment day in Riyadh on last week of October

Programme Timeline

  • September 26: Applications open
  • October 19: Applications close
  • October 28: Face-to-face assessment day
  • October 29: Letter confirming participation if chosen
  • November 12: Graduate programme begins
  • December 7: Graduation
  • January 7: Internship begins
