From favours to flights, destination weddings aren’t typically the most sustainable or environmentally-conscious way to mark the occasion of matriomy, but Samujana Villas in Koh Samui, Thailand, is hoping to change all that with its new sustainability initiative.

For starters, its farm-to-table movement means all food served is locally-grown and in season. The resort also offers water stations to encourage guests to move away from plastic bottles and refill reusable containers instead.

Samujana also assists the bridal party in giving away its floral arrangements to local hospitals and shelters to minimise waste after the party has ended and the clean-up begins.

Plus, the stunning backdrop means you won’t be doing your ceremony or dining indoors, saving on lights and electricity.

Eco-conscious and extra special, we think you’ll agree.
