Stunning in a baby pink Gucci gown, Julia Garner has stolen the show on the red carpet at the Golden Globes. Much like Anna Delvey stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from New York’s jet set, who she Garner portrayed in Inventing Anna and just so happens to be nominated for.
Life imitating art indeed.
Styled by Elizabeth Saltzman, Garner looked every bit the star in the Gucci gown. The gorgeous pink hued dress (the brand’s signature shade under the hand of the now departed Alessandro Michele) with structured corset delicately complimented by cascading scallops in the skirt below continues Garner’s trend of wearing the Italian house. She wore a dramatic, black velvet cut-out dress by Gucci at 2022 Emmy Awards last year.
Garner kept jewellery simple, an echo of the sparkles on the dress, with a diamond necklace from De Beers.
Already with two Emmy wins under her belt – or bustier with crystal boning, as is the case this evening – Garner is nominated for two Golden Globes tonight. Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television for Inventing Anna and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical-Comedy or Drama Television Series for Ozark.
Garner has also been named as the actress to play the coveted starring role in the up-coming Madonna biopic. Tonight, the actress’s short, neon-blonde hair could be argued to pay tribute to the Madonna’s True Blue era where she sported a similar cut and colour.
Accompanying Garner tonight, husband Mark Foster it simple and classic in a black tuxedo.
