The third season of the popular reality television series, Indian Matchmaking, was released on Netflix on April 21st. The show, which follows individuals on their search for love and marriage proposals in India, has faced criticism but has also gained a massive following. The series features Sima Taparia, a marriage consultant from Mumbai, who uses traditional matchmaking techniques such as biodata and astrological charts to help her clients find true love. With the help of these essentials, Taparia will be seen pairing off individuals from London, New Delhi, Miami and New York. Indian Matchmaking: All The Couples That Are Still Together
Bobby Seagull
The new addition to the cast of Indian Matchmaking Season 3 is a 39-year-old maths teacher, BBC presenter and podcast host from the UK. Seagull has been a participant in British TV shows such as University Challenge and Monkman & Seagull’s Genius Guide To Britain, and will also feature in the upcoming Celebrity Hunted. In addition to his TV appearances, Seagull is a writer and author of the book The Life-Changing Magic of Numbers, which was published in October 2018. When not on TV, he can be found hosting his Maths Appeal podcast.
Pavneet Kaur
Six feet tall Pavneet Kaur, a 31-year-old independent entrepreneur and marketing expert from New Delhi, sought the help of Sima Aunty to find a partner who’s understanding and accepting. While she connected well with Tushar Tyagi, a filmmaker from Noida, they have not yet confirmed if they are in a relationship.
Priya Ashra
Taparia, the famous marriage consultant on Indian Matchmaking, had a difficult time pleasing her first client in London, Priya Ashra, who had many demands. Ashra, a 26-year-old clinical pharmacist, chemist, private chef and the hostess of Tiku Tiku Supper Club, finally found a local consultant named Vim Kansara, with whom she connected instantly.
Vikash Mishra
Vikash Mishra, a 41-year-old emergency room doctor, initially wanted a Hindi-speaking physician as his partner. However, he later became more flexible about the occupation requirement. Mishra is employed at Vituity in Davis, California.
Viral Joshi
Viral Joshi, who appeared in Indian Matchmaking Season Two, has returned for Season Three. Josh is 33 years old and is a Clinical research associate from North Carolina. Her family is originally from Gujarat, India. She and Aashay Shah, whom she met in the previous season, are still dating, as per her Instagram account. Since appearing in the second season, Joshi has become active as an influencer, creating cameo videos, attending Netflix premieres and reviewing books.
Aashay Shah
Shah is a New York-based optometrist and was a popular cast member of Indian Matchmaking Season Two. He moved to the US from India when he was 12 years old. He’s also a self-titled fashion blogger and shares pictures from Sabyasachi stores. He’s been somewhat of a rising star in India and is often seen dining with Bollywood actors since his debut in the previous season.
Arti Lalwani
Arti Lalwani appeared in the second season of Indian Matchmaking and has returned for the third season to find a partner. She’s originally from Miami and works as a Director of Risk Management and Privacy Knowledge Leader at Computer and Network Security in Florida. The 32-year-old went to Georgia State University to pursue a bachelor’s in Business Administration in Finance. After not finding a match on the show, she started a relationship with Jamal Ahmed, whom she met on a dating app. Their Instagram profiles indicate that they are still together.
Rushali Rai
Rushali Rai, a renowned Indian model, featured on Indian Matchmaking in 2020, where she crossed paths with Pradhyuman Maloo, a potential suitor from season one. Despite being unimpressed with Maloo’s narcissistic demeanour, she shifted her focus towards self-discovery, trying to figure out what was holding her back from finding her ideal partner. A Delhi native with a degree in English literature, she gained fame from her previous beauty pageant experiences. While it’s uncertain if Rai has found love, she’s been spreading the message of self-love and empowerment to her fans since her reality show appearance.
