We’re all become more conscious of reducing our single-use plastic consumption, and getting rid of household waste in a more responsible way, but if you really want to ramp up your recycling efforts this month, Kibsons has launched a campaign to encourage you to recycle more in exchange for cash prizes.
The “Environment, be my Valentine” campaign allows Kibsons customers to return all household plastic waste along with their empty Kibsons boxes, and the top 10 customers with the highest plastic collections will receive a prize of Dhs1,000 each.
To avail of plastic recycling, all you have to do is download the Kibsons app and arrange collection.
All plastic collected will be sent to an organisation that recycles waste into outdoor furniture, and while the cash prize would be nice, we think we can all agree that knowing our waste is going to a better place is the gift that keeps on giving.
And that’s not all. Kibsons has implemented eco-friendly and sustainable operations to reduce its carbon footprint and support the anti-plastic movement within its operations strategy.
The company is also on track to recycle more than 75% of the water usage, is hoping to reduce its total fuel consumption by 20 percent this year, and has started working on a new solar panel project to reduce its electricity by 25 percent annually.
