Forget prudently dipping your toes into the bolder styles of 2025, Hailey Bieber is diving right into the deep end, having taken some of the year’s more divisive trends and combining them for an outing in New York City.
This weekend, Bieber was seen in a pair of (now sold out) black and white polka dot capri pants from Spanish label Paloma Wool. Known typically to keep her looks understated, this is certainly one of the model’s more daring sartorial moments.
The capri pant—associated with nostalgic muses such as Audrey Hepburn, as well as the kitschier 2000s—has been making its return to wardrobes, as seen on the likes of Bella Hadid, Zoë Kravitz, Emily Ratajkowski, and the Rhode founder herself on many occasions.
Instead of the black capri leggings she and her contemporaries usually opt for, Bieber brought 2025’s standout print of polka dots into the mix. Another debated but enduring trend in recent years has been seen on tastemakers such as Kaia Gerber and Olivia Rodrigo. To add to the sartorial risk, she completed the outfit with heeled thong sandals by Totême—love them or hate them, they’re not going anywhere.
However, she didn’t stray too far from her refined minimalist style. The beauty mogul grounded the look with other 90s staples, including a black sleeveless top and a mini square bag by The Row in the same shade. Her only accessories were a gold watch, oval sunglasses, and her wedding ring, letting the hero piece of the outfit shine.
Bieber is not one to knock a trend. From barrel jeans to the office siren look, and now this, the model can always be counted on to give us her own chic iteration of what’s in Vogue.
