They say all’s fair in love and war, but if we were taking a leaf out of Gigi Hadid’s book, we’d just avoid both together.

In a rare dating update, the supermodel and mother of one took to social media to share some unsolicited relationship advice. Honestly, it’s a solid win for any heartbroken girls, gays and theys out there.

Reposting an image from aesthetic quote aggregator @sorryaboutthiswall to her Instagram story, the Guest in Residence founder shared a photo that read: “Dating Advice: Don’t”. Enough said.

Of course, it’s worth noting that the timing of Hadid’s Instagram post came days after rumours began circulating that Leonardo DiCaprio is now dating fellow model Irina Shayk.

Reports emerged after the 48-year-old actor and 37-year-old supermodel were spotted hanging out back to back at Coachella.

27-year-old Hadid wasn’t present at the annual music festival this year, but we can’t help but wonder if her relationship advice is a little pointed to say the least.

According to reports, Hadid and DiCaprio ended their short-lived tryst in November, with the Academy Award winner reportedly ghosting Gigi.

As this report came from a tabloid publication, we took it with a grain of salt at the time of publishing, however, given Hadid’s acerbic dig at dating, we can’t help but re-examine this report with new light.

Plus, with Shayk and Hadid both mutually following one another on the social media platform, could Hadid perhaps be subtly sending her contemporary—and 78 million others—some wise words of wisdom?

Either way, it’s sound dating advice that we’re sure we’ve all followed at one stage of our life. Because who needs romance anyway, right?

As for us, we’ll be living by the dating wisdom of another New York icon, Charlotte York: “Maybe we could be each other’s soul mates. And then we could let men be just these great nice guys to have fun with.”

Someone put that on a pamphlet.
