This Paris Couture Week felt like a seraphic dream. Valentino, Rahul Mishra, and Elie Saab, among others, displayed their haute couture collections, and we have to say, they understood the assignment. We can affirm that these designers know how to enrapture us in the moment and captivate their guests – whether they watched virtually or were sitting front-row. Below are some of the designers that left us thrilled with their vibrant and scintillating silhouettes.

‘THE ENCHANTED,’ Rahul Mishra’s Couture Spring 2022 collection, is an attempt to transcend from the boundaries of reality to a world of fantasy. Mishra is a master of detailing and intricacies. To give craftsmanship the deserved regard and reverence is a part of his repertoire. His latest collection creates a scenic charm with the delicate work of embroidery on every piece. From romantic ruffles, colourful flower motifs, dramatic iridescent sleeves, and embroidered landscapes, the ensembles transported us to the depths of the forest, delving into its beauty every second.

VALENTINO

When it comes to looking for the right pops of colour in an ensemble, we look up to Valentino. Pierpaolo Piccioli is a maestro in playing with vibrant hues, and he never seems to disappoint. Like always, he did not just restrict to a colourful palette, but gave us different silhouettes, fits, cuts, and fabrics as well. Alongside neutrals, the bursts of striking blue, poppy pink, minty green, and shades of orange were a breath of fresh air. Piccoli firmly believes in embracing different body proportions, and it was truly evident by the diversity of models in his latest collection titled, ‘The Anatomy of Couture.’

ELIE SAAB

Witnessing the Lebanese designer’s Spring/Summer Couture 2022 show was like strolling in the prettiest of gardens, basking in the sun and letting the beauty seep in. Saab not only captivated our minds and souls with his magnificent silhouettes, but left us all starry-eyed until the very end. The collection, influenced by the colours of the Mediterranean, was an idyllic affair of art and couture. The dollops of radiant hues, sparkle, feathers, ruffles, and sequins are exactly what we needed, and he served.
