The man behind the luxury fashion eponymous label and known for his pioneering contribution to the fashion industry kicked off his One Night Only show in Dubai. The event took place on October 26th and also marked the glorious 10-year anniversary of the Armani Hotel at the Burj Khalifa.

In 2016, the One Night Only series commenced in London and later extended to other popular locations such as Tokyo, Paris, Rome, Beijing, and New York. With Dubai added to his signature series, Giorgio Armani revealed that Dubai has always been special to him. “The One Night Only series of events is my way of giving a special presentation to a particular city and country, and since the first, in 2006, I have staged them around the world. These projects typically involve a fashion show, a party, and live music. The event in Dubai has a special meaning to me.”

Goes without saying that the fashion designer is of huge significance to the UAE for his extraordinary work in the field of fashion. Armani was recently awarded the UAE Golden Visa by His Excellency Major General Mohamed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs.

The One Night Only series in Dubai showcased the brand’s spring-summer 2022 collection and a glimpse of the Armani Prive Haute Couture’s autumn/winter 2021/22 Shine collection. What’s an event without a star-studded performance, right? The event featured a live performance from the lead singer Chris Martin from the Grammy award-winning band Coldplay.

Armani’s One Night Only series in Dubai kept sustainability at its forefront with new environmentally friendly initiatives. The new measures, in adherence to the ISO 20121, will include electric or hybrid automobiles, avoidance of single-use plastic and food waste, supplier compliance of necessary socio-environmental clauses, and commitment towards nature-based solutions projects to offset the event’s residual GHG emissions.
