After a three-year hiatus, Phoebe Philo, former designer at Celine, officially announced her return to the fashion scene.

According to Business of Fashion, the former creative director of Celine has announced her very own namesake label with the support of LVMH, which owns brands like Dior, Loewe and Givenchy. A recent statement was released by Companies House, stating that Philo’s husband filed the brand under the name Phoebe Phil Studio Ltd. On July 9th, 2021.

In her recent statement to BoF, the designer shared, “I have had a very constructive and creative working relationship with LVMH for many years. So it is a natural progression for us to reconnect on this new project. I have greatly appreciated discussing new ideas with Bernard Arnault and Delphine Arnault, and I am delighted to be embarking on this adventure with their support.”

Adding, “Being in my studio and getting back to drawing once again was exciting and incredibly fulfilling,” Philo said in a shared statement with BoF. “I can’t wait to get back in touch with my audience and the people who have followed me. To be independent, to govern and experiment on my own terms is extremely meaningful to me.”

The brand will consist of apparel and accessories with exceptional quality and designs. Now, whether or not the designer brings her signature touch of minimalistic styles and unique colourways, that has yet to be determined. According to BoF, there have been no release dates yet on her first collection, but Philo will be sharing further details in January 2022.
