AYAH TABARI HAS TEASED HER NEW VISION FOR MOCHI WITH THIS IMAGE

After taking us on vibrant adventure from Palestine, Jaipur, Hungary, Morocco, Spain, India, Budapest, Uzbekistan, and Africa, the Mochi world tour has come to an end – of sorts – in Amsterdam.

After building her bohemian brand on supporting indigenous stitching communities around the globe, Mochi Founder Ayah Tabari’s move to Holland has resulted in her putting down roots – both for herself and her label – and rethinking the narrative, with the age of sustainability and social responsibility in mind. “We are proud to be working at a more organic pace as a team for the sake of our creativity and to reduce our impact on the environment,” Ayah reveals.

AYAH SHOWED THE POLYNESIAN COLLECTION AT NEW YORK FASHION WEEK IN SEPTEMBER 2019

A smart move considering the sun-soaked, beachside, rainbow-strewn universe the brand used to inhabit now feels out of reach for so many of us. However those of us yearning for frills, frivolity and joy won’t be disappointed. Ayah assures us, “We will be upcycling pieces from previous collections with a mix of vintage collectibles and bringing back prints from previous designs styled in a more contemporary avant-garde way.”

Stay tuned for the first look at the New Mochi, coming soon.
