Since the pandemic started, we’ve not only missed out on red carpets as a whole, but we’ve missed out on ushering in a whole new group of stylish actors and actresses whose breakout roles coincided with Covid-19, meaning red carpet events were canned and so too was awards season.

Despite some turning to Instagram to document the looks we lost, such as Emma Corrin’s stylist Harry Lambert, still nothing hits the spot quite like a proper televised event.

Thankfully, as the vaccine rollout continues, we’re slowly but surely seeing Hollywood come back to life, starting with a socially distanced Oscars red carpet earlier this month, and now the MTV Movie & TV Awards, where the youngest Olsen sister, Elizabeth, shone.

Of course, Elizabeth Olsen is no next-generation actor: she’s been in the spotlight for years, alongside her elder sisters, Mary Kate and Ashley. But through her latest project, WandaVision, Olsen is getting more industry recognition than ever before.

In fact, at the awards, the 32-year-old beat out Corrin’s turn as Princess Diana in The Crown to win best performance for her role as Wanda Maximoff.

For the event, Olsen opted to wear a chic Miu Miu LBD, which featured diamond embellishments and cream-coloured cuffs. Keeping with her understated look, Olsen paired her dress with a pair of black pumps, wearing her newly brunette locks pulled back into a bun.

Alongside her personal win for best performance, Olsen and her co-star Kathryn Hahn won best fight and WandaVision itself took home a slew of other trophies, including best show—winning the award over Netflix favourite, Bridgerton, and Netflix love-to-hate-it, Emily in Paris.

If Olsen’s red carpet look is anything to go by, she could soon be rivaling her sisters and their cult fashion label The Row in the style stakes. The least she could do is make like Haim and wear the paired-back label on the red carpet sometime soon.
