Although final dates can only be confirmed through moon sightings and the UAE government, the Emirates Astronomy Society predicts a five-day break for UAE residents this year.

Both for the public and private sectors, expect three days off from Monday, June 17 to Wednesday, June 19 for Eid Al Adha. Falling directly after the weekend, adding Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16,  expect to indulge in five-day stretch of work-free days this June.

Thinking ahead, opt to strategically use your Paid Time Off days to elongate the two-day break into a nine-day long holiday. By requesting two days off on June 20 and June 21, the entirety of your vacation time spans from June 15 to June 23.

Whether you want to staycation in the nation’s many luxury resorts or explore nearby travels across international waters, the Eid Al Adha UAE dates offer the perfect summer gateway time.

What is Eid Al Adha & Arafat Day

Important times in the Islamic faith, Eid Al Adha, and Arafat Day are significant holidays in the region and beyond.

Honouring Prophet Ibrahim, Eid Al Adha celebrates the holy Prophet’s surrender to holy guidance. Translating to the “Feast of Sacrifice”, this joyous occasion is marked by families and friends across the Muslim world gathering to eat, gift and celebrate with one another.

Additionally, Arafat Day serves as a holiday that honours the forgiveness of God. Also known as the Day of the Standing, it falls on the second day of the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca.
