Known for its superfluous level of comfort and opulence, Dubai takes the “soft life” to a whole other avenue with the announcement of a drive-through mall.

Named Dubai Square, the 2.6 million square feet space is set to be an innovative retail, entertainment and dining triumph. Created by the renowned Emaar properties, long gone are the days where you commute from store to store on foot. Instead, customers can zoom through the open spaces of the mall in electric vehicles.

Set to be located in Dubai Creek Harbour, Dubai Square doesn’t just halt at being a mall. With over 10,00 residential spaces and 1,500 hotel units, it stands as a holistic entertainment, hospitality and shopping hub.

Revealed by Emirati business man Mohammed Alabbar, founder of Emaar, Dubai’s drive-through mall taps into a new dimension. “This will be the first time cars can enter a mall so it will be very unique,” he said in an interview with Khaleej Times.

Previously, a one-kilometre long tower was also in the works alongside this project. But plans for the Dubai Creek Tower have now been scaled back to 500 metres as the candid entrepreneur explained that there the strategy “mistake”.

While there is no definitive date of completion for Dubai Square, the newest project plans imagery boasts an airy grandiose space. With natural light flooding in through an encapsulating glass ceiling, the space blends indoor-outdoor living with elegance and structure.

Towing the line of luxury and technology, Dubai’s upcoming drive-through mall uses novel techniques and approaches to achieve elevation. From AI technology utilisation to unique dining journeys, and a connecting lane to the forthcoming Dubai Creek Tower. It promises to blend all the convenience and ease of a mall, with added elevations of luxury and creativity.

From unfathomable opulence to flourishing creativity, Dubai continues to advise each experience ahead of the global needle.
