It’s only the second month of the year and Arab fashion designers have already managed to take the world by storm through their couture creations. Weaving an intricate tapestry of fine tailoring and masterful artistry, these designers are yet to miss the mark.

With the Grammys being the night of nights when it comes to celebrating the best in music, it’s also a major moment for fashion and this year there was a major presence by one Dubai-based designer.

Egyptian designer Marmar Halim, who is based in Dubai Design District, made strides on the glorious and most coveted carpet, debuting her collection for the world to see and admire.

For her Spring/Summer 2024 collection, she featured an array of delicate designs that called attention to the dramatic drapes and intricate detailing and for the Grammys red carpet, she debuted not just one, but two pieces.

For the first look, first-time Grammy nominee, Madison Beer, known for her powerful voice, relatable lyrics and hit songs such as “Reckless” and “Good In Goodbye” wore an all-white ensemble by the Dubai-based designer that contoured her figure perfectly before flaring out dramatically past the waist. The simple yet elegant gown featured a sweetheart neckline with a tiny bow gracing amidst it. With a long flowing train trailing closely behind, the dress was a spectacle in itself.

Colombian singer and actress Karol G. also donned a bespoke creation by Marmar Halim. It was a particularly special night as the singer is now a Grammy winner. She proudly held her new award as she stood out in a taupe dress in contrast with the red carpet and the singer’s pink long locks.

The intricate designs and exquisite craftsmanship of Marmar Halim’s creations truly made a statement, showcasing the perfect blend of cultural richness and contemporary elegance on the red carpet.
