Dana Hourani, known to be a trailblazer in the contemporary music landscape of the region, just released her newest single “Ana”, adding another gem to her repertoire of trending hits.

The song is a collab between the former GRAZIA cover star, Tunisian star Marwene Jibali known as Nordo, and French-Algerian artist Anas.

The track blends the Lebanese singer’s pop influences with Nordo’s unique mix of classic boom bap beats and modern trap.

The Dubai-based artist released her first single “Ella Enta” in April 2019. But the following year, the world plunged into a global lockdown due to COVID-19. However, as Dana previously recalled in her GRAZIA cover interview, it was a time when she was most “productive”.

“I released almost all of my singles, and it actually gave me some time to focus on music, because a lot of noise around it was eliminated,” she told GRAZIA. The only hinderance she found with launching her music career duing the pandemic was not being able to perform live.

“How starting my music career during a pandemic affected me in a negative way was that live shows weren’t an option for me. That’s all,” she explained.

But shortly after, she released her debut album in November 2021, which was hugely successful and no doubt her latest single will follow suit.
