For two years in a row, the Saudi Cup has managed to exceed expectations each time the event takes place. We do not expect any less this year – with an approximately $20 million prize, making it the most valuable horse race in the world to date. The Saudi Cup, only in its third year running, has been promoted to group 1 status: the highest honour in horse races all over the world. This event will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, at the King Abdul-Aziz Racetrack, an exquisite location for a lavish event that will attract royals, celebrities, influencers, and many more.
Besides the main event that is the horse race itself, her Royal Highness, Princess Nourah Bint Mohammad Alfaisal has collaborated with the Ministry of Culture in creating an initiative to work with 100 local brands to design pieces that are to be worn at the event itself by the guests, or showcased there.
Princess Nourah Bint Mohammed Alfaisal was appointed as a consultant by his Royal Highness, Prince Bandar Alfaisal, the Chairman of the Jockey Club in Saudi Arabia to help curate the Saudi Cup. The Princess has a vision to further develop the fashion industry in the Kingdom – so, she has worked side-by-side to the Ministry of Culture’s Fashion commission to do so.
