With film award season hitting our screens very soon, Netflix has chosen to shine a light on the Arab film scene.

To embellish the legacy of Arab cinema, Netlfix has created a catalogue of 58 films that celebrate the best of the best in Arab films. Under the category ‘Celebrating Arab Cinema’, films that have been globally recognized by ceremonies such as Academy Awards, the BAFTAs, Cannes, Venice and others are being released on Netflix. The collection includes classics, indie films, and award-winning films such as the BAFTA-winning The Present, as well as Lift Like a Girl which won three awards at the 2020 Cairo International Film Festival.
