Riyadh Season started last night and it’s setting big expectations. The festival is set to occupy 5.4 million square meters spanning 14 area zones. The event plans to dazzle the world, by hosting a total of 7,500 events over the course of the next five months, including; 70 arab concerts, 6 international concerts, 10 international exhibitions and 350 theatrical performances and plays, and many more. The list of events happening is never-ending, but it doesn’t stop at just entertainment. The season will also be hosting 200 restaurants and 70 coffee shops catering to a wide range of tastes and age groups.
HE Mr. Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) announced the upcoming launch of Riyadh Season 2021 on the 20th of October under the slogan “Imagine More.”
Entertainment events will be announced soon, but we do know that rapper Pitbull performed last night as part of the Riyadh Season opening parade at Boulevard Riyadh. The opening parade was said to be the largest parade in the Kingdom, with more than 1,500 performers in costumes. The night was full of shows, fireworks and many more surprises.
Riyadh Season aims to expand the entertainment sector, create job opportunities, and support the local GDP, while attracting foreign investments.
