Chances are, you may have already had cryotherapy. However, would you ever think of combining it with a soothing massage? Hard pass. But The SPA at Palazzo Versace Dubai and Aromatherapy Associates clearly had other ideas, and Cryo Revive was born. Still unconvinced? Spa Manager Talar Sabbatucci is about to change your mind.

1. It’s a treatment tailored to Dubai’s soaring temperatures

“At The SPA, we always personalise our treatments and include special features and procedures to appeal to those seeking unique experiences,” explains Talar Sabbatucci. “We decided to make this treatment even more individualised by adding a cold component, and the cryotherapy aspect was precisely what we were seeking, especially during the hot summer.”

2. It still has all the rituals of a traditional massage

The soothing scent of rosemary and citrusy zing of grapefruit greet you as a cleansing foot ritual lulls you into a false sense of security ahead of this full-body exfoliation and energising body massage focused on brightening and reviving the skin, mentally and physically preparing you for the Dubai summer heat.

3. It borrows skincare principles for the body

After a rosemary inhalation, the treatment begins with an invigorating scrub with Aromatherapy Associates Revive Energising Exfoliator to remove the build-up of these dead skin cells on the body. Talar reveals, “This will firstly give the skin a fresher appearance and also prepare the skin to absorb the aromatherapy oils that will be applied in the second stage of the treatment.” She continues, “The second stage is the application of Aromatherapy Associates Revive Body Lotion and Aromatherapy Associates Revive Body Oil mixed together. These products contain high concentrations of the finest essential oils of detoxifying juniper berry, revitalising grapefruit and deeply stimulating rosemary toreboot energy levels, promote healthy micro-circulation and leave skin looking even and supremely soft to the touch.”

4. It supercharges active ingredients

Cryotherapy most commonly used for: muscle recovery because it stimulates blood circulation, which relieves muscle soreness; improving blood circulation through blood stimulation – and boosting blood flow, making it easier to transport oxygen, nutrients, and enzymes throughout the entire body; and activates collagen production in the skin thereby repairing damaged skin and minimising the appearance of cellulite. But Cryo Revive has discovered a new benefit.

Talar adds, “Once these products are applied and absorbed, we further activate the properties of these essential oils by applying the cold cryo spheres. These spheres are used to increase the blood circulation and lymphatic flow which would assist in the dispersal of the essential oils and the hyaluronic acid on the skin and reduce inflammation specially on the stubborn cellulite areas of the legs.”

5. You’re not cold for the entire 90 minutes

The cryo spheres are only used on your legs for a blood circulation boost to conclude the massage. Sub-zero stress relief is only one body treatment away.
