As we enter into the summer season, it marks the close of another school year for many students around the world – and for some it will even mark the end of their university careers with graduations imminently taking place.

Amongst the thousands of students ready to throw their graduation caps in the air are a handful of Middle Eastern royals who are embarking on a new chapter in their lives.

From Jordan to the UAE to Bahrain, here are some of the regional princes and princesses who are marking milestone moments in their lives this summer.

Sheikha Hessa of Abu Dhabi, UAE

Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Mohammed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, who is one of the grandchildren of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, graduated from one of the most prestigious universities in the UAE. Having studied at New York University Abu Dhabi for her undergraduate degree, the end of May marked the final stage of higher education as the UAE royal walked across the stage to receive her degree.

Princess Karma bint Abbass of Jordan

In early May, Arabian Royal Agency shared images of Princess Karma bint Abbass of Jordan looking radiant in New York on her graduation day. The 21-year-old royal received her degree in Fine Arts from Pratt University and celebrated amidst the support of her parents, Prince Abbas Bin Ali and Princess Sima Abbas, along with her sister Princess Rania, and brother Prince Haider.

During the ceremony, the princess reportedly showed solidarity with Palestine by wearing the keffiyeh scarf while going up on stage to receive her degree.

In the images posted to Instagram, Princess Karma can be seen smiling while holding a bouquet of flowers, and wearing a bright pink dress underneath her graduation gown.

Princess Rajaa & Prince Muhammad bint Talal of Jordan

Fellow Jordanian royals, Princess Rajaa and Prince Muhammad bint Talal also had their graduation. The duo received their degrees from the illustrious Georgetown University in Washington, US, continuing a long-standing family tradition, as their parents also graduated from the same institution. The prince and princess also sported red and white keffiyeh scarfs at the ceremony.

Sheikh Duaji of Bahrain

Another royal, Sheikh Duaji of Bahrain also graduated from Georgetown University with a Masters of Sciences degree in Management. His father, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Duaji Al Khalifa, was in attendance at the joyous event.
