Renowned for its luxurious shopping centres, astounding skyscrapers (including the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa), as well as being a hub for art and culture, Dubai has made its way up to be one of the most popular jet-set holiday destinations in the Middle East. Depending on your activity of choice, there are certain months which are better to visit than others.

December, January & February

The months of December, January and February are perhaps the most popular to travel to Dubai. With temperatures averaging around 25°C during the day and 15°C at night, it’s the ideal weather to enjoy all outdoor activities in the emirate. From skydiving to beach-going to visit some of the most historic landmarks in the emirate and more, the list of activities to do during high season are endless.

October, November, March & April

If you’re someone who likes the weather to be a little hotter than 25°C then October, November, March and April is the time to visit. During these months, temperatures average at around 31°C during the day, reaching lows of  20°C at night. Given the slightly warmer weather than in peak “Dubai winter,” this is arguably the height of beach club season for many and the emirate definitely has no shortage of beach clubs to visit.

May, June, July, August & September

These months are the period when you’ll experience the brunt of the brutal Dubai heat, particularly during June, July and August (some may argue May and September are slightly more bearable). But for those who are perhaps paying a visit to Dubai to partake in some major retail therapy. A particularly popular shopping destination of choice is The Dubai Mall, which is also the biggest shopping mall in the world. During the hotter months, Dubai goes out of its way to accommodate the high temperatures in the region by providing an array of indoor activities, shopping centres and exciting events such as the Dubai Summer Surprises initiative. There are also more traditional Arabian-styled market shopping spots including the Gold Souk, Textile Souk and Spice Souk.
