HÈRMES
Whilst most of us associate the word ‘garden’ with green grass, leafy trees, and flowers aplenty, Hèrmes’ in-house perfumer Christine Nagel went down a very different route for Un Jardin À Cythère. Inspired by Kythira, a Greek island known for its arid, dry landscape, this unique blond scent takes you on a journey through dry, crunchy grass, juicy olive trees, and sweet pistachios. Warm, woody notes emulate the heat of the sun, whilst a strong oat blend brings a smoky, cereal element to each bottle. Basically, you’ll be transported to Grecian shores with just a spritz.

Speaking of gardens, Diptyque’s new Eau Nabati pays olfactory homage to a lush, luxuriant Mediterranean garden filled with fragrant flowers, plants, and trees. Where a warm, spicy wind rustles through the leaves of palm and cedar trees, and the vibrant, zesty scent of citrus fruits lingers in the air. A contrasting blend of bergamot and petitgrain with rich amber, enveloping immortelle, and sweet balsam, this complex scent is just as intriguing and mysterious as the untouched oasis it’s inspired by.
