This week’s best dressed stayed away from the colourful colour palettes and kept it classic by sticking with traditional shades of black. Giving a modern twist to the chic looks proved that the conventional black never goes out of style. It was telling that these celebs got inspired by the 75th Cannes Film Festival and channeled old Hollywood glam through this week’s outfits.

Bella Hadid

The Palestinian-Dutch supermodel Bella Hadid embodied classical elegance at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. She wore a vintage archival, one-of-a-kind black gown designed by Gianni Versace in 1987. The gown consisted of a strapless mermaid style silhouette with a georgette draped bodice and a black velvet skirt. She finished off the vintage look with a pair of Chopard teardrop diamond earrings.

Simi, Haze & Fai Khadra

The model trio of Khadra siblings coordinated in all-black at the Balenciaga fashion show channeling Men in Black. Fai wore a pair of black trousers with a black top and a long leather shacket with platform black dress shoes. Simi rocked a turtle neck maxi dress with long sleeves. Haze sported a pair of baggy pants with a matching oversized button-up collar shirt and puffed sleeves. The Khadra trio all styled their looks with matching Balenciaga sunglasses.

Christine Quinn

Everyone’s favourite Selling Sunset villain Christine Quinn wore a draped black dress with attached long-sleeved gloves and a front panel skirt by Balenciaga to the the brand’s fashion show at the New York Stock Exchange last week. She topped off the all-black look with a pair of thigh-high boots and a black front buckle hang bag.

Joelle Mardinian

Lebanese makeup artist and reality TV show host Joelle Mardinian attended the opening of her new health and beauty salon Maison de Joelle in Al Wakra. She wore a black off-the-shoulder mesh corset top with a layered ruffled skirt by Zeena Zaki. Mardinian finished off the look with a skinny black Hermes belt, a limited-edition Birkin Faubourg handbag, and silver jewellery including a pair of teardrop earrings.

Deema Al Asadi

Dubai-based fashion blogger Deema Al Asadi meshed futuristic holographs with classic black on a night out. She wore a black high neck halter top dress with a circular-cut panelled skirt. Al Asadi accessorised the look with a pair of holographic open-toe pumps and a matching holographic Lady Dior handbag.

Kourtney Kardashian

Switching up the traditional white wedding gown with an unconventional black, Kourtney Kardashian wore a black custom corset mini dress by Dolce&Gabbana with an embroidered image of the Virgin Mary. She styled the bridal look with a pair of black choker pumps, long globes, and a short black veil with blue accents.
