The 2021 Murex D’or Awards took place Friday, September 17th, from the Ava Venue in Achrafieh, Lebanon and was beyond epic, to say the least. This year’s ceremony brought many unforgettable style moments as well as special surprises like Kosai Khauli debuting his new look for his upcoming series and Jad Shwery’s heartfelt performance.

After a year of no red carpets, the Murex D’or yearly award ceremony has returned to celebrate the best of Lebanon’s music and drama industry. The award created by Lebanese physicians Dr Zahi Helou and Dr Fadi Helou initially focused on the Lebanese Artists and slowly transitioned with its 2nd edition onwards, covering both Pan Arab and regional talent.

Big winners of the night included the likes of Maguy Bou Ghosn, Bassem Moughnieh, Nadine Nassib Njeim, Dima Kandalaft, Jean Daccache, Moatasem Al-Nahar, Philip Asmar, Assi El Hallani, Bassem Christo, Wissam Hanna, Daniella Rahme, Jad Shwery, Georges Khabbaz and Eagle Film Production.

Ahead, find Grazia’s top five looks that had our jaws dropping.

From her gown’s dramatic train to her gorgeously done old Hollywood hair and makeup, Maguy Bou Ghosn’s look brought tons of drama to the red carpet and easily made its way to the top of our list.

Leen wore a classic satin dress with an edgy twist – a structured shoulder. The dreamy white hue only added to the magic, and we are beyond here for this look.

Rahme is never afraid to sport statement silhouettes and chic tones, and last Friday’s crystal-chic bodycon dress by Jean-Louis Sabaji continued that trend, complete with a shimmery yet playful sleeve.

The red carpet has its usual shades from neutrals to pastels, metallics and bold reds, but when it came to Wissam Hanna’s look, he blazed his own trail with a rich emerald green suit for his red carpet debut. We fell head over heels for Hanna’s stellar look, from the colour to the playful fabric and the double-breasted detailing.

Dima Kandalaft in Nicolas Jebran

Kandalaft stole the show with a form-fitting white dress by Nicolas Jebaran, featuring a deep v-neck and high-slit paired with the dreamiest pearl necklace and strappy sandals.
