Palestinian-American supermodel Bella Hadid can now add “100 most influential people” to her growing and impressive CV. Known for being outspoken on mental health, human rights, government oppression and civil rights, the 26 year old never fears consequences for using her voice, and she is finally being commended for it.

“Bella Hadid is as good as she is beautiful. In a moment like now, when an industry is struggling to stay culturally relevant and inclusive, putting a single name and face to it would be near impossible. If anyone comes close, it’s Bella Hadid,” writes Christy Turlington Burns for Time. “Within this new generation that has limitless potential to create positive change in the world, Bella holds unique power. I am rooting for her, for the possibilities that lie ahead, and for all that is good and beautiful.” We’re rooting for you too, Bella!

Bella shared her gratitude and appreciation for being chosen to be part of this year’s list, taking to Instagram to write, “to be recognized for the work I’ve done, just makes me want to work harder to be a part of the change we want to see in this world. I know my mission is much larger than what I have even touched the surface on now, and I will continue to fight until change has been made.”
