The images shared via the 24-year-old’s Instagram showcase a style moment we have to talk about because we’re still trying to wrap our heads around it. The model donned a unique pair of black jeans featuring an eye-catching detail: a continuous row of safety pins down her zipper, seemingly in the name of fashion.
Hadid handled the rest of her look casually so that her pants made the loudest statement. She layered a white cropped T-shirt with a matching button-up and a leather vest. For accessories, she rounded out the buzzworthy outfit with a kitschy ring from La Manso and a gold pendant necklace. She wore her sleek hair perfectly parted down the middle, like a true Gen Z icon, held back with a rhinestone hair clip that spelled out “Heaven.” The latter inspired her Instagram caption, “Just like heaven :).”
The D.C. native has been putting together most of her off-duty looks since the height of the coronavirus pandemic, which compels us to reasonably believe Hadid’s daring pants are a creation of her own (though, she has yet to confirm whether or not that’s the case). The subtle yet eye-catching style element does have her name all over it, though. Last year, the model was papped in Paris, leaving the Jean Paul Gaultier show wearing a dauntless denim crop top clasped together only by safety pins.
