Bella Hadid‘s perfect profile and chiseled looks have long be contested by fans and onlookers. Is her nose real? Lips? Jawline? While in a perfect world we wouldn’t really be having a conversation about what someone wants to do with their body, the supermodel has addressed all the plastic surgery rumours.

To start, Hadid revealed that she did in fact get a nose job at 14, which she now regrets somewhat. “I wish I had kept the nose of my ancestors,” she said in a recent interview. “I think I would have grown into it.”

As for rumours that she got “her eyes lifted, her jaw shaved, her lips filled,” those assumptions are not true. “People think I fully f**ked with my face because of one picture of me as a teenager looking puffy,” Hadid added. “I’m pretty sure you don’t look the same now as you did at 13, right? I have never used filler. Let’s just put an end to that. I have no issue with it, but it’s not for me. Whoever thinks I’ve gotten my eyes lifted or whatever it’s called—it’s face tape! The oldest trick in the book.”

She continued, “I’ve had this impostor syndrome where people made me feel like I didn’t deserve any of this. People always have something to say, but what I have to say is, I’ve always been misunderstood in my industry and by the people around me.”

In addition, the youngest sister of the Hadid family reflected on the comparisons that were made between Gigi. She sadly felt like the “uglier sister” and was not as seemingly “cool”. Gigi is just 18 months older.  The candid interview continued as she discussed her battles with mental health which include anxiety, eating disorders and insecurities.

“I always ask myself, how did a girl with incredible insecurities, anxiety, depression, body-image issues, eating issues, who hates to be touched, who has intense social anxiety—what was I doing getting into this business?” she continued. “But over the years I became a good actress…”

The ultimate Queen of Y2K style has become increasingly candid in recent months. Late last year (when we all admittedly needed a reminder) she took to social media to reveal she was struggling with burnout. Hadid later appeared on the VS Collective podcast where she also discussed her experience in “abusive relationships”.

It goes to show, you just never know what someone is going through.
