One of the biggest events in the Dubai calendar has announced new dates for its 2026 edition.
Art Dubai has confirmed it will now take place from May 14 to May 17, 2026, at Madinat Jumeirah.
Initially scheduled to take place from April 17 to April 19, 2026, the global arts fair will be delayed by four weeks, with the upcoming edition moving forward in an adapted format.
In a statement shared by the organisation, Art Dubai emphasised the importance of continuing to provide a platform for the region’s cultural ecosystem, despite the current climate.
“Following our last communication, we have remained in close dialogue with all our stakeholders and across these discussions, there remains a clear sense that maintaining the platform that Art Dubai represents is important for the wider cultural ecosystem,” the statement read.
The organisation also highlighted this year’s edition – which will mark its 20th – will be a more “flexible format”.
“This edition will take the form of a more focused and flexible format, bringing together galleries, artists and institutions through a combination of presentations, collaborations and public programming,” the statement added.
First launched in 2007, Art Dubai became the first international art fair in the region and has gone on to become one of the biggest in the world.
While this year’s iteration will be slightly different, Art Dubai will still bring together galleries, artists and institutions through a curated mix of presentations, collaborations and public programming.
Further details on participating galleries and programming are expected to be announced in due course.
