On March 14th-17th the famous AlUla Camel Cup will be hosted under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU). The winner will be crowned ‘Champion of Champions’ and awarded a generous grand prize of SAR 80 million (more than USD 21 million). You will have a chance to witness a traditional yet unique championship in Saudi Arabia which is organised by RCU in collaboration with the Saudi Camel Racing Federation (SCRF).
AlUla Camel Cup will be welcoming royalty VIPS and elites of the sport, including many distinguished guests who will be a part of a glorious and illustrious historical occasion. Camel racing goes long down history, taking part in ancient culture as far back as the 7th Century. The first official and professional camel race cup was hosted in 1964, also located in Saudi Arabia as part of a heritage festival.
