Adele is back and about to release her new album, which means she’s letting us in to her very private life again with intimate new interviews. The latest? A video tour of her Los Angeles home, where she provides rapid-fire answers for the popular 73 Questions series.

Amongst the many interesting details gleaned about her new album – it will be her “most personal” to date and the track Remedy is about her son – we got a good look at Adele’s Beverly Hills abode, which she says was heavily inspired by the “English countryside”.

Her interior mostly follows a calming colour palette of cream, ivory and steely blue with natural wood textures, for a cosy aesthetic that Adele cultivated to “[remind] me of home”. There is also a few pops of colour woven throughout, including some striking red couches and a large bookshelf stacked with thick tomes.

Maybe the most beautiful aspect of Adele’s home is her “lovely” outdoors area, which the Easy On Me singers says continues the “very English” theme. “It’s very Grey Gardens,” she says of the lush, leafy exterior, which features plush couches for the singer to relax al fresco.

But perhaps the most surprising addition to her décor is also the very thing Adele describes as her “proudest possession” – a framed piece of chewing gum from Celine Dion. The singer says the usual piece of celebrity memorabilia was a gift from her friend James Corden.

“He did [Carpool Karaoke] with her and knew how much of a fan of her I was,” she explains. “So he made her spit her gum into a piece of paper and he framed it for me!”

While it might be unique feature of the house, we certainly wouldn’t mind spending the night alongside a superstar’s discarded gum if it meant we got the chance to hang out in Adele’s stunning US$9.5 million space.
