Kim Kardashian took to the runway as a surprise guest at Paris Fashion Week this Wednesday. Specifically, the Skims founder walked in Balenciaga’s Fall 2025 couture show, to honour designer and long-time collaborator Demna’s final show for the house.
Elizabeth Taylor served as muse for the look. Kardashian, a known a fan of the actress, donned a skin-tight satin slip dress with lace trim detailing, paired with nude pointed toe pumps. Over the sleek piece, an oversized feather coat fell off her shoulders. Her hair was styled in old-Hollywood waves swooped to one side, selling the retro feel.
Front and centre of the look gleamed two dazzling necklaces by Lorraine Shwartz totalling 250 carats worth of diamonds. However, most notably, Kardashian also wore a pair of earrings once belonging to and worn by Taylor herself.

The diamond earrings, on loan from Schwartz, were bought by the designer in 2011 for $374,500 USD at the time. The chandelier earrings and other similar pieces were a staple style in the late star’s collection and mark a significant piece of fashion history.
On Instagram, Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner gushed about the iconic moment.
“Kim’s look was a stunning tribute to Elizabeth Taylor,” she captioned her post. “And Kim is wearing Elizabeth’s personal diamond pendant earrings from Lorraine Schwartz’s private collection.”
The socialite herself also took to Instagram to recap the event.
“Walking Demna’s last Balenciaga Couture show dripping in Lorraine Schwartz jewellery and wearing Elizabeth Taylor’s own diamond earrings from her private collection.”

This isn’t Kardashian’s first dip into sartorial history. Famously, and to much criticism, at the 2022 Met Gala, the mogul wore Marilyn Monroe’s “Happy Birthday Mr. President” gown. The estimated $5 million USD gown was loaned by Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Museum in Florida and allegedly showed extensive damage upon its return.
Hopefully, this particular occasion goes over more smoothly.
