Her Majesty Queen Rania and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein have shared touching posts in tribute to mark His Majesty King Abdullah II’s 62nd birthday.
Like always, the Queen greeted her husband with much love and appreciation. Taking to Instagram, Queen Rania shared a short but sweet greeting: “Happy birthday! You mean the world to us.”
The royal prince also shared a moving message to his father with his 5.1 million followers. Praising the King, he said, “Year after year, you stand as the unwavering pillar of this nation.” Continuing the sentimental birthday greeting, he added, “May God bless and protect you, Your Majesty.”
Of course, if there’s anything to go by, the portrait shot of the royalties proved how much they are a dazzling and close-knit family.
On the same day, the Jordan royal family also celebrated the birthday of its youngest member, His Royal Highness Prince Hashem.
With a motherly caption, the Queen said, “Happy birthday, my dearest Hashem!” The prince greeted his younger brother with many blessings, “Happy Birthday, Hashem! May God bless and protect you.”
A new addition to the jordanian royal family
Amidst celebrations of the King’s birthday, the royal family also received joyous news that Her Royal Highness Princess Iman bint Abdullah II of Jordan and her husband, Jameel Alexander Thermiotis are expecting their first child together.
Queen Rania confirmed the news via her official Instagram page with a stunning sunset photo of the couple.
The photo, shared with the Queen’s 10.5 million followers, shows the silhouettes of Jameel and Princess Iman, along with the royal’s growing baby bump.
“Two is a couple, three is a blessing,” Queen Rania captioned the photograph.
Who is King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein?

King Abdullah II of Jordan is the longest-serving current Arab leader of Jordan. Born on January 30, 1962, in Amman (sharing his birthday with his son Prince Hashem), his family, the Hashemites, have been the reigning royal family since 1921.
He is the first child of the previous King, King Hussein, and the now royal Princess Muna, who was born in the UK. He has three other siblings, including Prince Faisal bin Hussein and twin daughters Princess Aisha and Zeina bin Hussein.
Last year, he celebrated his silver jubilee, marking his 25th year in the monarchy. In the presence of the other royal members and 9,000 other dignitaries, the King received many notes of congratulations and blessings.
