The Oscars might dominate the Hollywood awards season, but for celebrity looks, the SAG Awards red carpet fashion shines in a more subtle way. With the year’s most thriving talents tending towards more understated looks at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the focus is all in the details.
Held annually in Los Angeles, the SAG Awards typically fall in February, before the Academy Awards and after the Golden Globe Awards. Celebrating excellence in both film and television, the award show has existed since 1952 but became a highly regarded ceremony in the mid-90s when the awards were given out at an actual ceremony. Fun fact: Kristen Bell was the first-ever host of the Screen Actors Guild Awards, and it wasn’t until 2017 that Kristen Bell was invited to lead the award show. And in 2025, she reprises the role once again, marking a full-circle celebratory moment!
Fashion-wise, there is also plenty to celebrate. Scroll on for our favourite SAG Awards red carpet fashion moments of all time.
