If you’ve watched any of Emma Chamberlain‘s viral YouTube vlogs then you’re well aware of her affinity for thrift shopping. It comes as no surprise that for her first ever appearance at Venice International Film Festival (and any film festival for that matter) she chose to wear the most perfect vintage Valentino gown and Cartier jewellery (and was a guest of luxury jeweller).
Sourced from Circa Vintage in London, the burgeoning style icon wore a ruched gown from the House’s Fall 2007 collection to the premiere of White Noise. The dress featured sash detailing at the shoulders and the hip. She accessoried with Cartier Collection ear clips, a necklace and a bracelet. Chamberlain was styled by longtime collaborator Jared Ellner – who counts clients including Phoebe Bridgers and Claudia Sulewski – and finished the look with Cartier jewellery, a Jimmy Choo clutch and Stuart Weitzman heels.
Makeup, a moody take on ‘doe eyes’, was courtesy of Chynara Kojoeva and her slicked back ponytail was the work of British hairstylist, Shukeel Murtaza.
The White Noise red carpet also featured appearances from the cast including Adam Driver, Jodi Turner-Smith and Greta Gerwig as well as famous faces such as Barbara Palvin and Julianne Moore.
It’s hard to believe that Chamberlain is just 21. The Los Angeles-based content creator found global fame in her late teens uploading lo-fi vlogs to YouTube. She has since become Gen Z’s newest style muse with front row appearances at fashion week, served as a red carpet correspondent at the 2021 Met Gala and sits at the helm of her own namesake coffee brand.
