While most, if not all, celebrity relationships can find themselves the centre of tabloid fodder, there’s one A-list couple who have managed to avoid Hollywood’s intensely prying eye.
Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson have refrained from subjecting themselves to ferocious gossip throughout the entirety of their five-year romance, instead opting for a more casual and low-key approach to dating rather than the traditional red-carpet-laden route.
Indeed, one Google Image search of the couple will return only a handful of instances where the pair have been pictured together, save for the glitzy public debut at Dior’s Pre-Fall 2023 Menswear Show (hosted under the Pyramids of Giza, no less) and a follow-up appearance at the 2023 Met Gala.
However, it now seems that the British ‘It’ couple, who reportedly live together in London, is continuing this streak with a rare PDA-filled NYC outing, captured by onlooking paparazzi for our viewing pleasure.
In the image, which you can view for yourself here, Waterhouse and Patterson have deviated from their pandemic-fulled activewear wardrobe of yore, instead opting for two very different takes on casual summer wear.
Keeping within her Soho-songstress-meets-70s-Sunset-Strip uniform, Waterhouse looked to a cream waffle half-zip t-shirt accented by a psychedelic blue and white tie-dye neckline and raw-hem fringing.
The singer and actress paired her effortless top with matching slouchy trousers (which also featured fringing) and a pair of strappy dad sandals. Her signature oval-framed sunglasses completed the nonchalant street-style silhouette.
Pattinson, on the other hand, opted for a more ‘Wall Street finance bro off-duty’ look in his button-down and shorts.
Seemingly taking cues from Kendall and Roman Roy’s summer wardrobes, or more appropriately, his character from David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis, for his own New York outing, the 37-year-old sported a red-and-white tile print button down, navy cargo shorts and a black baseball cap.
Pattinson also wore his version of dad sandals in brown Arizona Birkenstocks.
