Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian’s on-again, off-again relationship looked like it could be back on earlier this year when the first teasers for the final season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians were released.

But the awkward thing about filming happening months before the show airs is that by the time it does, things have usually changed a lot over in Calabasas.

Case in point, the clips which showed Disick declaring he wants to marry Kardashian airing when he’s in another relationship—with 19-year-old Amelia Hamlin—and she’s in a relationship with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.

Though Disick and Hamlin are likely not that serious given their 18-year age gap (and the fact Disick just publicly said he wants to marry someone else), Kardashian and Barker have gone from zero to 100—and by 100 we mean Barker already has his new girlfriend’s name tattooed across his chest.

Apparently, despite having his own new partner, Disick is having a hard time adjusting to his ex moving on with someone in such a serious way, especially someone who has known the family for years. (Barker also lives in Calabasas and is neighbours with the Kardashian clan).

“Scott has really distanced himself from Kourtney recently,” a source told E! News. “Of course they are still cordial when it comes to the kids, but they aren’t hanging out as much or doing things as a family. The communication has become strictly about the kids.”

“It’s uncomfortable for Scott to see Kourtney in a serious relationship, although he knew this day would come,” another source added. “He is glad she is happy, but it’s definitely been hard on him. He doesn’t like to bring it up and it’s a weird convo for him. At one point, the family was really encouraging Scott and Kourtney to try the relationship again and it’s a bit of an eye opener for him, that it’s truly never going to happen.”

Apparently, Disick is trying to “adjust and be a grown up about it”, but “seeing Kourtney get so serious with someone so quickly is not easy—especially someone they have known for so long.”

“Scott has never been comfortable seeing Kourtney with guys, but this feels different. Kourtney is all in with Travis and the kids like him too. It feels to Scott like they are merging their families and going full steam ahead. That has made him very uncomfortable and he’s trying to figure out where he fits in,” a third source added.

If only we had more KUTKW to watch to see how this pans out. Oh wait, we do—it’s just over on Hulu now.
