November has been a busy month for musician-slash-fashion muse Selena Gomez. She’s danced at the American Music Awards, she’s dated up a storm with her new old boyfriend, she’s given us plenty of post-gym paparazzi shots to inspire our next workout, and now she’s shown us how to dress when we do.

Gomez is the new face of Kylie Jenner’s old commercial stomping ground PUMA sportswear, appearing in a series of grainy photos promoting the brand’s new training shoe, the PHENOM (pronounced like VENOM, but a pun on PHENOMENON. Geddit?)

According to the brand’s official release, the singer “acts as the perfect embodiment of this dynamic shoe”, which it adds, was “built for bold women”.

“As the ultimate multitasker, she represents women who need to power through their workouts and their days,” the spiel continues. “With IGNITE foam and open mesh inserts, the Phenom is built for just that.”

Marketing speak aside, it’s a pretty impressive new high-top kick, with a very reasonable mid-ground $150 price tag. Likewise the luxe velvet workout gear she’s photographed in for its promo. (We [heart] that lush velvet sports bra top much.) Shop it on the Iconic here.
