It’s hard to imagine, but Priyanka Chopra may have just outdone her Met Gala look—the one consisting of a Bulgari necklace worth $37 million—with none other than denim and, yes, more Bulgari.
Hitting the pink carpet for the premiere of her new rom-com Love Again, the actress debuted one of her best looks yet with a show-stopping gown from Nina Ricci’s Fall Winter 2023 range. The gown itself featured a bold ruched off-shoulder design that merged into a ginormous bow on the back. The body cinched Chopra’s waist and then flared out into a dramatic mermaid skirt. She accessories with a delicate Bulgari Serpenti choker and understated hoop earrings.
Her husband, Nick Jonas, joined her at the premiere wearing a dapper pinstripe suit and an asymmetrical knitted vest.
Designed by Harris Reed, the denim dress was first showcased at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year as part of Reed’s first collection as creative director of the house. Celebrities like Adele and Florence Pugh have already swarmed to wear some of the breathtaking designs.
Sharing his enthusiasm over the look, Reed took to Instagram to gush about the actress’ appearance—as well as share some BTS photographs of the look, styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray.
“Beyond incredibly honoured to have been able to custom fit my @ninaricci Runway denim couture gown on the one and only icon @priyankachopra in new york this week for the premiere of her new film Love Again,” Reed wrote on Instagram.
“I could not imagine a more perfect woman to wear this gown. Fun fact- the entire construction, corset, bustier, skirt and bow are all crafted out of French bleached denim, and all of my ‘couture’ denim pieces were the global top sellers in this past collection for Nina. The joke is, when I got the job at Nina, my bosses asked me how I would make denim my own…. I hope I didn’t disappoint.”
