After lamenting how “love’s f***** embarrassing” on her sophomore studio album Guts, it seems that Olivia Rodrigo is coming back for more.
The singer-songwriter has reportedly started dating British actor and one-time Prada model Louis Partridge after a string of bad breakups and messy attempts to “get him back”, which fuelled the new record.
Sources close to the “Good 4 U” musician revealed that the former Disney star flew to London with her best friend, Conan Gray, to see Patridge earlier this week and that the pair are “inseparable”.
Partridge, 20, previously starred in Enola Holmes opposite Millie Bobby Brown and had the lead role as Sid Vicious in Pistol, the television adaptation of British punk band Sex Pistol’s tumultuous rise through London’s underground scene. But unlike Rodrigo’s previous relationships, it sounds like the burgeoning Hollywood couple isn’t afraid of moving too fast.
“They have been for dinners and nights out. They hit a club together on Friday night and were acting very couple-y. It’s really sweet to see her happy,” the source added. Over Halloweekend, Partridge and Rodrigo were spotted with their hands around one another’s waists, seemingly confirming the rumours.
It’s unclear how the couple connected. Rodrigo’s relationship comes off the back of her high-profile romances with DJ Zack Bia and Joshua Bassett. It’s widely believed that Bia and Rodrigo’s six-month relationship inspired her single, “Vampire”.
Her relationship with her High School Musical: The Musical: The Series co-star also prompted the singer to pen her breakout single “Drivers License”. Perhaps this new relationship will serve as fodder for her next body of work, but if we’re looking for a single to describe Rodrigo and Patridge’s whirlwind flirtation, Taylor Swift’s “London Boy” would be the most apt. “I guess all the rumours are true…”
