The luxurious icing on the already expensive cake was her Hermès Himalaya Niloticus Crocodile Diamond Birkin handbag.
For those not familiar with the current market for this rare breed of Birkin—a bag that is notoriously difficult to get your hands on—this particular model is worth around $566,000 (AUD). Making it likely—but not surely, it is Kim Kardashian, after all—her most expensive fashion piece.
With a pricetag that high, you may be wondering what the big deal is. But besides its impeccable hand-craftsmanship, what makes the model so exclusive is its unique material. Crafted from Niloticus crocodile skin, and featuring diamonds on the hardware, the bag is an exceptional piece of work and arduous to construct. Naturally, the accessory is only available in extremely limited quantities, too. Jennifer Lopez and Victoria Beckham have the same tote, while Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, and sister, Kylie Jenner, own matching Kelly iterations.
While it’s certainly not an everyday tote, the billionaire has managed to keep the bag in near mint conditione, having owned it for at least nine years. She was first spotted with it at Heathrow airport in London back in 2014. I guess stars reweat their goods just like us?
