In February, we were devastated to learn Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from husband of seven years Kanye West. Since, the reality star has been living her best single life recently spotted travelling through Rome and eating pasta in latex – we could never. Appearing as a guest on the Armchair Expert podcast with Kristen Bell, the 40-year-old has reflected on the lessons she’s learnt from the rapper.
“I got to a point—and maybe being in a relationship with Kanye for a decade and someone that absolutely didn’t care about likeability factor or what any of perception of him was,” Kardashian said. “As long as he was true to himself, that taught me so much in the best way of just being me and living in the moment.”
“You don’t have to please everyone as long as I’m myself and as long as I’m doing it the way that I want to,” the beauty mogul added. “Like, you have one life and you’re living it for you. That taught me to just be more confident in myself and truly not care as much of what other people thought.”
Keeping Up with the Kardashians wrapped up its very last season in June. During the highly-publicised reunion, Kardashian revealed that the real reason she split from West was a “difference of opinion”.
“I respect him so much,” she told the reunion host, Andy Cohen. “That was my friend, first and foremost, for a long time. So I can’t see that going away. I will forever be Kanye’s biggest fan. He’s the father of my kids. He will always be family.”
Kardashian recently attended the rapper’s listening party for new album, Donda. In support for her ex-husband she wore an all-red matching look with West.
