Julia Garner wasted no time shopping from the recent Fall/Winter fashion schedule for her red carpet needs. While co-hosting an event with Paul Mescal and Halle Bailey in Los Angeles, the actress gave us modern Twiggy in a look from the Courrèges fall/winter 2023 show, which showed during Paris Fashion Week just a week ago. While the turnover still doesn’t beat Zendaya sporting a preview from Loewe’s Spring Summer 2023 collection two weeks before its runway debut, we respect the hustle.
Part of Nicolas Di Felice’s Paris runway presentation, the off-white number boasts a high neck and A-line silhouette complete with two front pockets. On the bodice are two large circular cutouts where two flat discs sit suspended together by a thin chain. Leaning into the mod style of the dress, Garner opted for white, knee-high Go-go boots and no bling—aside from her hefty diamond engagement ring.
Her hair, done by Bobby Eliot was parted down the side and kept neat in a bun, held together with three bobby pins. And, of course, her makeup, by Emily Cheng, was flawless with muted cool tones to compliment the outfit. The overall effect was fun but refined—a quintessential look by the Inventing Anna star.
Garner’s stylist, Elizabeth Saltzman, and her have been working together for years, always securing her a spot on the best-dressed lists while never shying away from some experimentation. Earlier this year, she stunned in another mini dress—this time, a sheer red shift by Ferragamo—topped off with a Bulgari serpant choker at the Critics Choice Awards.
